HOW CLASSES WORK

Hands-on cooking classes that feel fun, clear, and doable

Apricot Kitchen began as a small set of weeknight lessons for friends who wanted real skills—not fancy jargon. We built each class around practical techniques, simple recipes, and the confidence to recreate everything at home.

Today we teach beginners, couples, and small groups through public sessions and private bookings. You’ll cook seasonally, learn shortcuts that actually help, and leave with a plan for shopping, prep, and great meals all week.

CLASS FAQS

Everything you need to know

Do I need experience to join a class?

Not at all. Our classes are designed for real home cooks, from true beginners to confident improvers. You’ll get step-by-step guidance, demos you can see up close, and hands-on practice—so you leave knowing exactly how to recreate the dish at home.

What’s included with my registration?

Your spot in class includes all ingredients, use of equipment, printed take-home recipes, and plenty of time for questions. We’ll also share tips on shopping, substitutions, and make-ahead options so the skills stick beyond the class.

What should I bring (and what should I wear)?

Just bring yourself and a good appetite. Wear comfortable clothes and closed-toe shoes; tie back long hair if you can. If you’d like, bring a container in case there are leftovers—though we do our best to plan for tasting along the way.

Can I book a private class for a group or event?

Yes—private classes are great for birthdays, team outings, couples, and friend groups. Tell us your group size, preferred date range, and what you’d like to learn (or your dietary needs), and we’ll suggest a menu and a format that fits.

Do you accommodate allergies or dietary preferences?

Often, yes. Many menus can be adapted for common preferences like vegetarian, dairy-free, or gluten-aware cooking. Share any allergies when you reach out or book, and we’ll confirm what’s possible—if a dish can’t be modified safely, we’ll recommend a better class.

What’s your cancellation or rescheduling policy?

Plans change—no problem. If you contact us in advance, we’ll do our best to move you to another date when space is available. For last-minute cancellations, we may not be able to offer a full refund, but we’ll always try to find a fair solution.
